Auto-generated transcript:Peace be upon you.
Peace be upon you.
Peace be upon you.
The meaning of the ayat which I recited from Surah Al-Hajj,
Allah SWT says,
As we know, the Hajj is the essence of Islam.
It is the commemoration by emulation,
of the beautiful life,
and especially certain incidents of the life of Ibrahim AS,
and his small nuclear family.
Each of these incidents,
demonstrates and emphasizes the essence of Islam,
which is submission.
Islam means to submit our will to the will of Allah,
and to the will of Allah.
It begins with Ibrahim AS,
the command he was given to take his family,
his wife Hajar AS, our mother,
and his newborn baby Ismail AS,
to the barren valley of Bakka,
which was later to become the city of Makkah.
He took them there, he left them there,
and all the tafsir, the details of that,
we know, I won't go into all that now.
And he made dua to Allah SWT for them.
And that dua itself is worth study in detail.
What he asked for, why did he ask for that,
the sequence of what he asked,
all of these are things which are worth studying.
I think I've done several khutbahs on this.
And then later on, he goes to visit that family,
when his son, Allah SWT says,
is old enough to walk with him.
So we are not looking here at a strapping teenager
or a 20 year old, we are looking at a little boy,
old enough to walk with him.
And then he is given the command to sacrifice that son
to Allah SWT.
And he takes his son,
and as they are walking,
he says to his son,
I have been commanded in my dream,
I have been commanded to sacrifice you,
to do zibā for you.
Look what you see.
Fanzur.
look what you see the son does not say look where where should I look what am I supposed to see
which would have been logical responses he doesn't say that he knows what his father means he knows
what his father means when he says look fan Durma that era I mean these the way Allah subhanahu
ta'ala has described these things in the Quran are things to really seriously reflect on and ask
ourselves where am I with respect to this we allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is not mentioning these stories
for our entertainment Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is setting standards for us to emulate standards
which we will be helping to follow and we will be helping to follow and we will be helping to follow
held accountable for an accountable to and the Sun says what is the response his response is do what
you have been commanded to do and Inshallah you will find me among the Sabir in and then as they
go on this journey
Shaytan comes to them in three places and tries to tempt them and tries to misguide the son.
And eventually Allah sends a ram to be sacrificed instead of Ismail .
And then later on Ismail is commanded to go back.
And by then Ismail is grown and they build the Kaaba as Sharif on the command of Allah .
The rituals of Hajj, the Manasik of Hajj commemorate every one of these.
They commemorate first the Sai of Hajj where she ran from mountain top to mountain top, from Safar to Marwat.
Soon after they were left there.
And then they are buried there in that valley.
And then it commemorates these places where shaitan tempted them which is the position of the Jabrat.
And then the sacrifice itself.
The Udhiyya, the Khurwani.
And then of course the Tawaf of the Kaaba.
Because by then the Kaaba has been built.
All of these are the Manasik of Hajj.
And of course Allah commanded these to be arranged in a certain sequence.
And then they are buried there.
And then the sequence which we learn from Muhammadur Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa ala alihi wa sahibu salim.
Where he said to us,
Take from me the Manasik of Hajj.
Take from me the rituals of Hajj.
Qudu anni Manasikako.
Learn from me.
Take from me your Manasik.
Your rituals of Hajj.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala loved
the actions of these three people.
This little family.
Ibrahim alaihi salam, Ismail alaihi salam and Hajar alaihi salam.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala loved their actions so much
