And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam taught us that any gathering in which Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is not mentioned
and in which salutations, salat and salam are not sent on Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
will be a means of regret on the Day of Judgment.
So we remind ourselves of the ultimate reality.
We are here as a family.
That it is Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala who has blessed us to be part of this family.
Either genetically or through the institution of marriage.
And it is Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala who aligns hearts together or makes them divert from each other.
As Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that the hearts are built.
Between the fingers, if you will, the fingers of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
And Allah is above all comparisons.
So don't imagine it to be fingers.
So Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala makes people's hearts come together.
Aligned in harmony, in resonance.
And vice versa.
Anyone who seeks guidance from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Allah.
Who is sincere in their seeking of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala guides either directly or through the companions and the family that Allah surrounds that person with.
Because as human beings we are social creatures.
We need companionship.
We need support.
We need encouragement.
There will be moments of weakness.
Somebody calls us and pulls us along.
To share our joys.
To be together in moments of happiness and joy.
And also for support in moments that are not as pleasant for us.
For our nafs.
So we thank Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
For gathering us.
In this blessed gathering of the family.
And this is a good opportunity to remember those who have preceded us.
Our parents.
Who are not with us.
Mummy and Baba.
My parents.
My parents.
Yawar's parents.
MyThis year has been the best anniversary of chance of yourDDiG's greatness.
Today is you live with patience.
sorrow,
safe and healthy.
And grace.
and inshallah leaving behind a legacy of deen, of righteousness, of virtue, of good character
with their children, with their grandchildren, investing in them
not just to give them an economically sound future
but one which is moral, which is one of beautiful character
one of haya, of modesty, one of concern for humanity
one of wanting good for everyone
so we thank Allah SWT for gathering us with this concern and in this family
may Allah SWT illuminate the graves of all of those
who have preceded us and may Allah SWT make their qubur
avenues and passages of Jannah because we are to follow them soon
and one day these little babies who are sitting here will sit and be talking
just like we are talking today
and some of them will be sitting here and they will be saying,
and some of them will be saying,
and some of them will be saying,
and some of them will be saying,
and some of them may remember us and some of them will not remember us
but even if they make dua that those who preceded us
inshallah will feel the cool breeze in our graves
so what is our responsibility, those who have been given this and who are mature enough
is to raise a generation that knows their deen
that is righteous, that has concern for all of humanity
and for the preservation of this deen because Allah SWT created us
to be His ibad, to worship Him as He wants us to be
to interact with each other as He wants us to be
to transact with each other as He wants us to be
and to care for each other as He wants us to be
and Allah SWT made us fortunately from this Ummah of Rasulullah SAW
the Khairul Ummah
which is a very special Ummah and a great honour
that we should be proud of that we are Muslims
not just Muslims but people from the Ummah of Rasulullah SAW
which on the Day of Judgment will compose
80 of the 100 rows of people going to Jannah
Musa will see his Ummah from the whole horizon that is going to Paradise
