You Will see His Strength

Before you can even begin to see past your weariness, you must first be ready to embrace the strength that only God can give.  Isaiah is going to give a nation a few verses for strength in fatigue and the place of strengthlessness.  The worries of life can be burdensome when you rely on your own strength. So how do you persevere through tough times without breaking down?  The key is to rely on God’s strength.

From exile, the Israelites complained that aged had forgotten or ignored them.  The prophet Isaiah answers that the Lord is the everlasting God – there is no time He does not inhabit.  He is the Creator of the ends of the earth – there is no place He does not fill.  He will not grow weary or tired because there is no end to His strength.  His understanding no one can fathom – there is no end to His wisdom.

God was not ignoring them and He is not ignoring you.  He has been here all the time accomplishing His purposes, undeterred by time, space or human weakness.

Human strength has limits; even the young, the strongest among us, grow tired and weary.  But there is no limit to His strength, and those who wait on Him will gain new strength.

God is promising the returning exiles His renewed strength for the journey if they would just trust Him.
