Jacob’s work involves technology development for the energy industry, and he has worked in a diverse set of roles from imaging rocks with CT scanners, to development of workflows for geoscientists and applications of classical geological theory in the field of machine learning. Proctor holds a BS in geological sciences and a BA in physical anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin, and he later graduated from Rice University with a MSc in carbonate geology. Jacob’s alter ego involves rock climbing, long distance triathlons, archaeology, planetary science and a passion for rock and mineral collecting.
