This vintage mystery begins when a leather grimoire with eternally wet ink appears in a library basement. Everyone who handled this cursed object vanished from locked rooms: art student Alan Price disappeared from his flat, chemistry student Keith Dryer vanished from his dorm, psychology student Marion Holt disappeared from a locked police cell.

Victoria Unikel investigates the cursed book that made people disappear throughout 1969, examining how victims vanished without explanation and why Detective Charlie Hewson claimed the grimoire's sigil grew with each disappearance before his own mysterious death.
