The holiday season is a time where families are meant to unite, friends' bonds become closer and we all sing, watch holiday movies, drink cocoa and express the love we have for each other.

But what about the other side of the holidays? The not so shiny, bright and joyous side that some of our favorite movies, like The Grinch, demonstrate? This side involves the toxic family dynamics, the bickering, the hiding our feelings, and even angst we feel having to sit at the family table because of the difficulties no one wants to discuss.
