Today I got to sit down and have a genuine conversation with a young entrepreneur from Toronto. Adam Bartman is the co-founder of REED, a plumbing technology company.
His parents came to Canada just before he was born and his dad was a plumber who eventually started his own business. After high school and a short stint in college, and then an HVAC program, Adam joined the family business and helped his dad grow the company. Adam spent eight years in the field before recognizing the wide gap that needed to be filled in the "smart" plumbing space.
Not long after that, Adam used the experienced he gained turning wrenches and surrounded himself with a team of professionals to make his dream come alive.
Today, Adam still owns the plumbing business in addition to blazing new trails in the technology space with Reed. He is truly the definition of why Blue is the New White and considers himself a huge success thanks to the support from his family and blue collar work.
