This is the story of Herbert Webster Mudgett.   You probably know of him as H.H Holmes. One of the most prolific serial killers of all time. Obsessed with death, but also a passion to scam other people and companies out of money proved to be a very deadly combination.   This, along side with his vision and ability to create useful gadgets, led to what we have all heard of today as Chicagos Murder Castle. 

Sources for todays episode get a bit murky, because I basically read a thousand articles and watched whatever I could on it, to try and make sense of all of the craziness.    But probably the most comprehensive source that I used was a 3 part podcast from The Last Podcast on the Left. episodes:  200, 201 & 202
