Brandon Armitage is the President/Winemaker of Armitage Wine. He spent some years in the world of horticulture and through his relationship with plants, was guided toward moving to New Zealand and studying viticulture. While completing his technical degree in Viticulture he was volunteering all of his free time to winemaking. Later on, he had the chance to work for Carrick Wines in New Zealand and developed a love for Pinot noir. After years of traveling back and forth from the northern hemisphere to the southern hemisphere making wine, he was able to develop the skills needed to grow and nurture grapes into the best Pinot noir the Santa Cruz Mountains has to offer!

Tweetable Quotes:

“Being improvisational [is my favorite as a winemaker] because you never know what's gonna happen. You're always changing, and you have to be flexible, and be able to be willing to adjust.” - Brandon Armitage

“The great winemakers have many, many years of experience under their belt, and they've seen different things that have happened during those years and had to deal with it, you know. And so they have all that experience under their belts to be able to make really quality stuff.” - Brandon Armitage
