Yesterday, citizens of the German state of Thuringia took to the polls for their state elections. The far-right AfD party came out on top with 32% of the vote. Over the years, the party has been mired in controversy and has even been determined to have “anti-constitutional goals”. With the upcoming Bundestag elections next year, what’s on the cards for Germany’s political future?
