Chunking, maintenance & elaborative rehearsal are all covered in this podcast. Chunking icnreases the capacity of STM. Maintenance rehearsal enhances the duration of STM although if you keep it in STM long enough, eventually it will be encoded and stored in LTM. Elaborative transfer aids the enconding of material into LTM.
