38: Franny Tacy | The Revival Of Retail

How many of you would be willing to chuck a comfortable corporate job so that you could pursue your passion?

On today’s show, we interview Franny Tacy, Owner and CEO of Franny’s Farmacy who shares with us her incredible “Pharma to Farm” life story. 

Back in 2017, Franny unknowingly became the first female hemp farmer in North Carolina. Franny has since successfully scaled up her business by adopting a franchise model.

Franny has farming in her blood. And perhaps the inspiration for her business can be traced back to her father who was himself a successful farmer. 

After spending more than a decade in pharmaceutical sales, Franny was seriously disenchanted. And so, she decided to do what any logical person would by purchasing a raw piece of farmland in 2017. 

And she started planning hemp even while it was federally illegal to do so.

From farming to retail to implementing a franchise model, Franny has certainly come a long way.
