The Takarajima couple ran successful restaurants in the Ueno area of Japan’s capital, Tokyo, but in April 2024, they met a gruesome fate. Their partially burned bodies were found arranged in the shape of a cross in a remote forest. Was the culprit a bitter rival, the yakuza, or perhaps someone they knew?
