Dr. Shalab Gupta, Founder and CEO of Unicycive Therapeutics, dedicated to pioneering chronic kidney disease treatment joins Enterprise Fit Radio.

Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Dr. Shalab Gupta discuss the following:

* What inspired you to start your own company, and what problem were you trying to solve?

* Can you speak to the importance of the “why” when it comes to the motivation behind somebody starting a business?

* What are some of the biggest challenges founders face, and what advice can you give to overcome them?

* You often credit your journey to the support of mentors and others who’ve helped along the way. Can you share a pivotal moment when someone’s advice or support made a major impact?

* What advice would you give someone who wants to turn a big idea into a business?

Shalab Gupta, MD, is a physician by training and the founder of three biotech companies. His latest venture, Unicycive, a company pioneering kidney disease therapy, went public on the Nasdaq with only one full-time employee: himself.

Shalabh’s journey is one of resilience, but he’s quick to credit the support of mentors, friends, and countless others who played a role in his success. He believes no one builds something meaningful alone, and he carries that mindset into everything he does.

Today, Shalabh continues to push boundaries in the biotech space, driven by a desire to solve complex medical challenges and improve lives– often manifesting in a desire to uplift other entrepreneurs who may feel overwhelmed at times, he often reminds others: if he could do it, so can you.
