Grant Stahla, Co-owner of Stahla Services, a nationwide provider of restroom, shower, and ADA trailer rentals again joins Enterprise Radio.

On this episode, the focus will be on the 8 Station Mobile Laundry Trailer, all the benefits and the specifics of renting this particular trailer for your needs.

Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Grant Stahla discuss the following:

(Host Eric Dye): Grant, who’s reaching for this trailer? Can you share the kinds of situations it’s built for and how you figure out if it’s got enough capacity for, say, a big event or a work crew?”

(Guest Grant Stahla): Yeah, good question. These 8 station laundry trailers or any laundry trailers are definitely a specialty trailer, but some of the core audiences are disaster relief organizations like FEMA or Red Cross. We also have them at large construction sites and pipeline camps, so a campsite where people are out working, large construction, weeklong music festivals and county fairs, military field exercises, National Guard; basically anytime where you have a big group of people gathering for multiple days. Some of the capacity rule of thumbs for the amount of loads or shifts that one trailer could handle is typically you’re going to have eight stack sets in one of these trailers so this is what we’re talking about is 8 station laundry trailer, where you’re going to have a set of a wash and a dryer in there. So you have eight of those with that trailer, you can do 80 to 90 loads in about a 10 hour shift. So that gives you a little bit of a perspective 80 to 90 loads in a 10 hour shift. Event planning. So you can plan one washer and dryer per 75 volunteers or guests per day and then for work camps it’s one washer per 15 workers on multi day projects. And then you know whether to upgrade or downgrade, whether to add units if you exceed more than 100 loads per day, or you can downgrade to maybe a 4 stack trailer for a pop up clinic, or an under 75 person crew.

(Host Eric Dye): What’s a memorable story of this trailer in action? Maybe a festival, a tough job site, or something unexpected?

(Guest Grant Stahla): Yeah, you bet. So one of the memorable stories is Hurricane Relief Base Camp in Florida. Last year, volunteers processed over 600 lbs of laundry daily, and then the barrel spiked once the fresh clothes arrived because you just don’t want to be walking around in dirty clothes, it’s something that adds a little bit of humanity back to you and sanity back to you in a disaster situation. Another situation, the music festival with over 50,000 attendees, the backstage laundry kept crews uniforms photo ready and ready to go and presentable preventing $5000 plus in rush cleaning fees. So you have that on site, laundry trailer there for all of your laundry needs. You can see case study videos on the laundry trailer page at Stahla.com.

(Host Eric Dye): Can you break down the cost of getting this trailer? What’s renting it look like—daily, weekly, or long-term—and what about buying one outright?

(Guest Grant Stahla): Absolutely, yeah. So rental rates, of course they range all over the place. But I’ll just kind of give you some ranges and then depending on the season and availability, they’ll be unique to your situation. But typically daily rates for laundry trailers $1200 to $1500 per large laundry trailer. A weekly rate, you’re gonna be looking at between $3000 and $4500 dollars and then a 28 day or a monthly rate,
