Information Surrounding LA County Deputies Killed in Training Facility Explosion

There was a tragic explosion at a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department training facility in East Los Angeles on Friday, July 19, 2025, which killed three Arson/Explosives Detail deputies. The incident is believed to be an accident involving an explosive thought to be inert, brought back from a routine bomb squad call in Santa Monica the previous day. 

RIP to deputies Joshua Kelley-Eklund, Victor Lemus, and William Osborn.
