Laura Farchione, BBSci., MEd. has been a passionate Science and Chemistry teacher working with secondary school aged students for the last 16 years. Her teaching has afforded her to work with students from a range of cultures, both locally and abroad, and whom each have their own specific talents and learning needs. Laura has a strong passion for learning and values students for their own uniqueness. This passion led her to further her knowledge and skills by completing her Master in Education (Inclusion and Special Education) at The University of Melbourne.
These qualifications allow her the privilege to work and lead a department in the area of Special Education in Melbourne. She has taught and managed students with specific learning needs and a diagnosed disability in an inclusive manner, therefore facilitating a climate where students are valued and able to achieve their personal best. Laura’s belief in supporting all individuals with compassion and integrity, thereby allowing the student and their families to feel heard and supported is integral in her work. She holds the space for families, with a knowing that it is a true privilege to work with individuals in moments of true vulnerability.
Laura is currently studying Naturopathy at the Southern School of Natural Therapies, Melbourne, as she recognises the vital links with learning to good health and wellbeing.
