How powerful does speaking up about the reality of our past reinvent the way we do community? In this episode we explore the ways in which serving ourselves and community intertwine to create a more evolved and conscious society.
Our guest this episode is Tessa Alexa Stanford who is the Founder of the Institute for Open-Hearted Psychology and Unspoken Global.
During her career, Tessa attained her First Class Honours in Psychology (2011) and specialised in Holistic Wellbeing Interventions, Trauma Assessments and Staff Development. Tessa completed additional study in Nutritional Medicine, Emotional-Regulation and The Neurobiology of Complex and Developmental Trauma, and worked within the fields of Child Protection, Early Intervention Mental Health, Domestic Violence, Alternative Education and with Asylum Seekers and Refugees.
Tessa left her decade-long career in the Social Welfare Sector in 2016 when she became increasingly disillusioned with our systems of care and modern psychological approaches to mental health and overall wellbeing.
Tessa's most recent innovation is her grassroots social movement and early-intervention mental health initiative, Unspoken Community Events. Unspoken celebrates courageous story-telling to cultivate courageous communities.
