My father will hate this episode. I'm releasing it anyway and I do not apologize. I did not sign a lifetime contract of obedience to do what he says, when he wants it, and how he wants. And neither did you. We came here to live a unique life, different than any other who had come before or who will come after. That means that we will be different than our parents, and different than the society and community that raised us. Although they may have forgotten or were told the bull sh!t like we were that we're supposed to conform and be grateful for our existence, that is a life of should. That is a life of shame. That is a life of the past.

There is the life that you could lead. Where you could be your unique and beautiful self. Where you could speak your voice. Where you could dance your dance, sing your song, play your game. Where you could cast of that which came before that no longer serves such as fear, obligation, and guilt. Where you could live a life of Joy, Ease, and Love. F#ck the life I should lead, I'm going to lead the I could lead.

In the episode I share what I said at my mother's funeral. Where I did my best to honor her life which was challenging in so many way, yet ended up being that much more triumphant for truly making it her own life, and for encouraging me to live my life the way I wanted and continuing to love me for it even when it differed from her conditioned expectations. It was carefully thought about for weeks to honor her and inspire others and to allow me to make sense of her loss.

All my father heard was criticism and talk about my vasectomy, which he said no one cared about. The reason I brought it up was it was the subject of the last voice mail my mother ever left me before she passed. He's criticized me for monetizing my "f#cked up family". He clearly doesn't know me or listen to me or understand me. If all I wanted to do was make money, there are so many easier ways. I do what I do because I feel it's a necessary service to the world that comes from deep self-alignment.

I don't blame some people of his generation for having lost the ability to listen or empathize. They were told so many lies that cut them off from who they are that d
