I'm tired of my Quaran-fifteen that I've gained in lock-down so it's time to install a new habit: Eating No Sugar No Grains. That's NSNG from vinnietortorich.com. I've had great success with this way of eating in the past and it's time to get back on the wagon...or in the wagon? Actually, I'll be walking because diet + exercise is a winning combo! So, how to install a new habit? I give you the formula for success:
1. Baseline your current behavior
2. Define your ideal behavior
3. Plan how you will get from your baseline to your ideal in a sustainable way (For me that's 1 week of no sugars, then 1 more week to eliminate grains)
4. Once at your ideal behavior commit to 66 days of the new habit.
If you miss a day, then you have to start over. Robin Sharma, author of The 5am Club, says for all new habits it's hard at first, messy in the middle, and glorious at the end!
