Could be coming up. This just adds to the anxiety of this hallmark holiday because the risk of failing creates tension which is the opposite of what's needed to open our heart to enjoy loving romance with another human.
So how to succeed at love?
Easy: Redefine success
Have you ever considered what it means to have a successful relationship?
If you're like most people and dig deeper, the answer usually involved 1 or more people dying at the end. F*ck that's dark! No wonder this is so tough. What's the alternative to "till death do us part?"
I propose the following criteria for a successful love relationship:
In this way, relationships might not truly end, they just change form in ways the continue to support mutual growth. Just honestly answering these questions every day is success when it comes to love. In this podcast episode I talk more about this in detail.
