I recently came across a different way of thinking about a band aid solution. And this was in Malcolm Gladwell, his book, The Tipping Point, where he makes the observation that a band aid solution can actually be the best kind of solution, because it involves solving a problem with the minimum amount of effort and time and cost. It's a good solution, because it uses the least number of resources
