Planning your first time elk hunt is just SO COOL. There’s the excitement of the planning and dreaming of screaming bugles. The anticipation of that first morning..the smells, the incredible scenery, you against one of the icons of western hunting.

But we also know about the questions lingering in the back of your mind. What’s it really going to be like? Where do I start? How am I going to react the first time I actually see an elk up close? Do I have the right gear and the right game plan?
