Episode 20: Darren Apels {Create Your Opportunities, Don't Wait For Them}

In this episode I have a chat with a man with one of the most unique paths I have ever seen.  There is almost a set path that a lot of people believe they need to follow, however Darren Apels took his future into his hands.

Deciding he didn't want to go to college, and back in the early 2000's he had no social media, or easy access to professional coaches as we do today.  Even still he worked tirelessly to create a path to professional basketball that most wouldn't think possible.

I really believe there are many learning experiences from this episode for any athlete hoping to play professionally in any sport, especially if they are going overseas to a new country.  Darren lays out some great strategy to get the looks you want from coaches, as well as important things to remember before heading overseas for sport.
