Here it is folks! The exciting Episode 1 where we discuss all things Chris Claremont’s run on the Uncanny X-Men! That’s right, there’s geekery galore as Christopher and Dom run amok on your favorite mutants and their most profound creator/writer (and discuss other properties his run influenced and why we think the X-films mostly suck.)

Morrison’s original definition of “Elevated Genre”:

Genre films that tackle “hi-concept” sci-fi concepts on a limited budget focusing on character and “reality” with the concept relegated to the background of the movie. As opposed to a big budget blockbuster where the concept becomes the driving force of the film.

Elevating the Genre Podcast working definition:

Any element in any “genre” (re: geek) piece of IP/story that raises that piece (or a moment or element in the piece) above the normal expectations of that genre.
