When students are two minutes late for school, they sometimes get suspended. They get sent home for missing two minutes of class.

And then?

They miss the whole day!

Teachers and administrators may assume it’s just because they are lazy and undisciplined. But there are often deeper issues happening…

And as you might imagine, minority students are much more at risk of unjust school suspensions.
