Today on the program our new Eco-Radio reporter, Kirstyn Lindsay has brought an interview with Dr Kara Youngentob.
Dr Youngentop is the team leader of the Gourmet Gumleaves Project, The Gourmet Gumleaves Project is a culmination of decades of research in understanding what makes better nutritional quality for Koalas and Greater Gliders.
The study compares plant animal interactions and the chemical determinants indicating if animals can eat more of some leaves and less of others and
whether they can selectively breed or take seeds from parent trees that are a good quality of food.
So why is the cultivation of these trees so important in preventing the extinction of Koala’s and the Greater Gliders in South East Queensland?
We also speak about the March for Palestine that occurred over the weekend and how the police tend to underplay the number of protesters at the event.
