Archer Aviation, a California-based air taxi company, is set to launch its commercial operations in Abu Dhabi by late 2025.
This marks a significant milestone in the UAE’s push toward innovative and efficient transportation.
The company plans to offer inner-city travel starting at Dh300–Dh350, with routes to other emirates, including the high-demand Abu Dhabi-Dubai route, priced between Dh800–Dh1,500.
The company’s Midnight eVTOL aircraft, capable of carrying four passengers and a pilot, offers fast and sustainable travel.
For instance, a trip from Abu Dhabi to Dubai will take just 20–30 minutes, compared to an hour by car.
Safety is a top priority for Archer, which is finalizing certifications to meet FAA and GCAA regulations.
Other air taxi companies like Joby Aviation are also entering the UAE market, with plans to launch in Dubai by 2026.
Both companies aim to integrate seamlessly into the UAE’s existing transport infrastructure through vertiports at strategic locations.
