A performer’s vocation can be tough and demanding, but working as a busker perhaps requires an even more extreme combination of talent and tenacity. With no guarantee of payment (or even an audience!) and very often no weatherproofing, it’s certainly not for the faint hearted. And there’s nobody better to attest to that than David Fisher, who has established himself as a very successful folk musician and author, while also campaigning for his fellow buskers and their art form.
