There are so many reasons I love living in New Orleans, but hurricanes are not one of them…

Hurricane Ida did $120B in damage, and 99% of New Orleans was left without power. 

Unfortunately, Ida is probably not the last hurricane to affect our coastal cities and towns. 

Thankfully, we have inventors with the audacity to design a solution. 

David Atkinson is the Creator of the Z Sphere, which is a hurricane-resistant and energy-independent modular structure that can resist winds up to 250mph without losing a wifi signal!

David envisions a future where we can watch a hurricane pass by in the comfort of our home while we proceed with life as usual. 

It’s inspiring to see Innovations like the Z Sphere as part of the next wave of sustainable infrastructure that represents humankind’s ability to persist through any challenge we face.
