"90% of conversations in the club are useless, 10% go into the bank." - Grant Cardone
A lot of our daily conversations involve giving and getting advice.
You ask: What do you think?
And they respond:
If you ask me…
I'm of the opinion that…
But not all the advice we receive is helpful or even worthwhile.
The truth of the matter is that you probably shouldn’t be listening to everyone around you.
The task is to figure out whether the advice is sound, which is mostly a matter of judging whether the advisor is qualified.
Ask yourself five simple questions:
1. Where is it coming from?
2. Who is it coming from and for whose good will it be?
3. Is the advisor experienced to give an opinion on this topic?
4. Did this individual take time to hear and understand your specific situation?
5. Does this individual sound cliché?
The next time you seek advice, ask yourself these questions before deciding how much of it to take to heart.
Seek answers from people who are already doing what you want to be doing.
Remember, in all you think, say and do, TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL!
