This topic came to mind as I was reflecting on the stress we're all experiencing and recognizing the importance for us to rise as leaders who Lead With Love.
Excessive levels of stress, particularly when we experience distress, separate us from love. From a neurologic, physiologic, and biologic perspective, the stress-based circuitry is not compatible with love, belonging, joy, creativity, or good decision making when it involves complex pieces of disparate information.
We are biologically and biochemically designed for love, to give love, and to receive love. And when we do engage in any of these it is highly restorative and nourishing to the mind and body, as I share more on in this episode.
Then we explore how love is a capacity. As such, it is a skill that we can learn, practice, and develop.
Our ability to lead our lives with love, to lead others, to lead our communities and colleagues, and practices, and profession from a place of love is the greatest gift we can give to ourselves, to others, and to the world.
