As we tread through the solemn shades of Passion Week, I can't help but recall the indelible mark left by Henry the bull, a creature from my youth who taught me a lesson in resistance and boundaries. Much like our spiritual walk, Henry's story is a testament to the transformative power of submission—a theme we're unpacking in this final habit of our series. The Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus modeled ultimate submission, serves as our backdrop in today's reflection, while we also navigate the contours of Christian fellowship, where love is both the impetus and outcome of true obedience.

Peering into the depths of our communal faith, we consider how personal acts of submission weave the fabric of a robust Christian community. Drawing from the profound insights of the apostle John and Dallas Willard, we explore the notion that it's through surrender to God's will that we find our deepest joy and purpose. As our church branches out and life groups flourish, we're reminded of the strategic necessity for tight-knit fellowship—spaces where shared vulnerability and mutual submission give rise to spiritual maturity and collective strength.

Concluding our journey, I extend a heartfelt invitation to surrender any lingering pride or stubbornness that obstructs our path to God's embracing plans. For those whose faith quivers on the brink, consider the futility of resisting the Creator's blueprint. For the devoted yet unaffiliated, this Easter season beckons you to embrace the church community through baptism and fellowship. Let us all seek to align our steps with the divine through prayerful submission, letting go of our ego to walk in the liberating truth of God's loving direction.
