Some things we learn about God:
- His miracles are not arbitrary. Prophetic miracles legitimize the prophets as spokesmen for God, directing the people to the word of God.
- To some he imparts wisdom and empathy to understand and relate to others.
- He may combine qualities of gentleness and firmness, hard and soft, in the same person.
- The Lord works through mentors--though a mentoring relationship does not guarantee virtue or character.
