Babylon the Great - Revelation 17:1-18

In this chapter and the next we find one of the most prominent characters in the entire book. Except for the Lamb, who takes the central place in the book, more attention is paid to “Babylon the Great" (also called the "Great City") than to any other figure. To identify this figure, then, is to take a big step toward discovering the meaning of Revelation as a whole.
