We're back, baby! And so is the powerhouse creative team of Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their groundbreaking series Powers, which debuted in 2000 and helped establish the modern creator-owned comics landscape! The duo reflects on how they first met, how they developed the distinctive visual style and noir sensibilities that made Powers stand out, and the evolution of their creative partnership over two and a half decades of collaboration. We explore the development of Walker and Pilgrim as characters, the importance of creative freedom in tackling mature themes, and how their procedural cop drama approach to superhero storytelling influenced countless stories that followed. Brian and Michael also share insights into maintaining a successful long-term creative collaboration and reviving the series for Powers 25, the first issues of which debuts next week, on 9/10/25!
