In this episode, I describe a parable that changed my perspective in regards to how I communicate with people. I have learned over the years that there are different ways in which we communicate with people. The Lighthouse and the Tugboat have the same job: to help the ships in the harbor avoid danger in the harbor but how they do this is completely different from one another. The differences in the parable illuminate and provide insight in the different methods in which we can communicate with people. We can instruct, demand, coerce, persuade, and even attempt to drag people to success. The other way is to role model the way and influence with our actions. I hope this podcast serves you well.
