In this episode, Dr. Craig Hansen from the University of Applied Research and Development announced an amazing opportunity for Veterans who want to pursue their studies and travel abroad to New Zealand.   

Dr. Craig Hansen, President, of UARD, has over 30 years of experience building and leading internationally accredited learning organizations. His Ph.D. is focused on the creative industries, curriculum development, and industry-education partnerships.  Craig is a member of the International Association of University Presidents (UN), is the NCN, One Awards & OTHM Head of Centre (UK), and President for UARD (USA, global). 


Do Hard Things Down Under is a Leadership & Confidence Building Course that will be taught in New Zealand as part of UARD’s globally recognized 6-9 month accelerated Emergency Response and Risk Management Bachelor and Master degree programs. 


This is a great opportunity to complete your education while spending time abroad in a new culture.  Students can opt to stay an additional 3 months to continue their studies in the program in New Zealand.  


The Academic portion of the course includes Emergency Management and Leadership, Crisis Management, Business Financial Management, an Emergency Tactical Exercise with NZ First Responders, High Performance Leadership essentials, Risk Management, and How to Create High Performance Teams.  


The confidence and tourism portion of the course includes hiking, canoeing/kayaking, zip lining, Rotorua Geothermal Tour, Horseback riding, off-road motorcycle and 4x4 tour and other adventure activities to build confidence.
