Lord Have Mercy | For Our Irreverence (Hebrews 4:1-12)

The Second and Third Commandments reveal God’s mercy in how He saves us. His name isn’t just a label—it’s His reputation, His promises, His very character. The Sabbath isn’t just a day off—it’s the rest He gives from fear and condemnation. Yet, when we use His name flippantly, treat His Word lightly, or ignore the rest He offers, we do more harm to ourselves than to Him. Such disobedience leads to spiritual ruin. So, this week, we pray, “Lord, have mercy, for our irreverence toward Your name and our neglect of Your Sabbath rest.”
