I know it takes so much courage & strength to be open about your food struggles.
Your doctor 👉🏻will convince you that you’re just stressed & depressed.
Your therapist👉🏻will focus on going back to your childhood & working on your relationships.
Your nutritionist👉🏻will give you a meal plan but make it flexible so it’s not “so restrictive”
Your loved ones👉🏻will try to make you feel better by telling you that they overeat too (even though you know you’re not just overeating)
I see you & you are not broken🙏🏻
It’s really hard to get support from someone who’s never struggled with binge eating themselves.
PS- these are all valid questions they’re asking. However it can be frustrating when you know it’s not what you need.
I went from 10 years of bingeing & feeling completely out of control with food to rewiring my brain & having no urges to binge regardless if I’m home alone, it’s late at night or I’m out to dinner🍫🧠
Ending binge eating will feel a lot simpler when you feel seen by someone who GETS you & learn the proper tools to become less impulsive with food🙏🏻🥰
