Dr. Teresa Pangan shares a revealing study about milkshakes where subjects were told one milkshake was sensible, low calorie, and light. The other milkshake was indulgent, high fat, and high calorie. Our assumption that calories in and calories out in our bodies is not so simple. Mindset matters. What happens in your body is both the behavior you do, the foods you eat, but also what you think about the foods. What you think about the foods you are eating is not non-consequential, it has consequences and not in the way you might think.
