Minute 003: One of the Greatest Years

Passengers are collecting their luggage at a baggage claim carousel. The man with the teddy bear arrives at the carousel and lights a cigarette.

Meanwhile, a well-dressed Asian man in a suit steps out of an executive office. He buttons his suit coat while a chamber quartet plays Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto #3 in G.

TITLE: ALAN RICKMAN

After the man straightens his tie, he welcomes a Japanese businessman and his companions in Japanese.

TITLE: ALEXANDER GODUNOV

After shaking hands, the man moves closer to the quartet. The area is a mezzanine above a large assembly room, decorated with potted trees and an indoor waterfall. A large decorated Christmas tree stands against one wall.

TITLE: BONNIE BEDELIA

The man reaches into his pocket and pulls out several index cards – – notes for a speech.

TITLE: REGINALD VELJOHNSON

“Ladies and gentlemen!” he announces to the assembled guests. “Ladies and gentlemen! I want to congratulate each and every one of you for making this one of the greatest years in the history of the Nakatomi Corporation!” The crowd applauds.

“On behalf of the chief -” continues the speaker.
