004 - Surviving Las Vegas

Denise and Ralph Balbin join the show to talk about their experience escaping the Las Vegas Massacre.

On Oct 1, 2017, during the final night of the festival Route 91 country music festival in Las Vegas, NV, a gunman opened fire from the nearby Mandalay Bay hotel, killing 58 people and wounding 851 in what is the deadliest mass shooting from a single individual in our nation's history.

Recorded a little more than 4 months after the event, in February of 2018, Denise and Ralph recall their experience that night, escaping the concert with little more than scrapes and bruises.

Of course, being part of something so traumatic extols more than just physical harm, so they also go on to detail how they have progressed in getting back to normal and the resulting lessons and perspective gained.
