Graduation (Friends Forever)- Vitamin C Decomposition

Vitamin C wrote some middle school poetry when she was 27.  She didn't quite sing it, then it was released in '99, and became a hit in 2000.  There are a TON of problems with this song.  What is the timeline? Does she only care about two people in her class?  Is Heather the dullest person on the planet?  How on Earth did she have a second hit with "Smile?"
