Hi Dearest Lovely, welcome to episode 14 of the Dear Lovely Universe podcast! Thank you for tuning in.
If you’re here, I just want to give you a virtual *pat on the back and kiss on the cheek*. This podcast is specifically for high school students having a challenging time with bullying, not knowing your purpose, confused about what your priorities are, and want help from someone who has been there!
My high school experience was a real challenge, to say the least. From being suicidal, having mental breakdowns, moving out at 17, transitioning to 7 different schools, getting addicted to drugs and alcohol, and so much more – I learned quite a few things that helped mold me into the person who I am today. I feel very blessed to be able to share them with you.
In this podcast, I discuss:
Dear Lovely Universe is a diverse podcast hosted by Kaelin Vu primarily focusing on the theme of self-love while discussing topics ranging from sexuality, motherhood, and depression. This platform has been created to uplift, inspire, and empower others to become the best versions of themselves regardless of ethnicity, age, or sexual orientation.
To read the book I recommend in this podcast, tap this link: What Happens The Day After?: Messages From Adolescent Suicides. This is the book that I mentioned I had read. It is about adolescents that committed suicide who got in touch with a medium to write a book about how everything they had gone through was for a purpose. While I was reading this book, I resonated very deeply with so many of the stories and cried a few times. I highly recommend this book for every single person on Earth, but especially those who are or have been suicidal, are under immense stress from work or school or are feeling stress and pressure from being LGBTQ.
To visit Gary V’s Instagram tap here. If you don’t know who Gary V is, I definitely recommend checking him out. High school and further education is not for everyone, some people are meant to be entrepreneurs and Gary gives great advice for those who fit that category. A few of the things he teaches people are to hustle hard, not have excuses, put in the work, and not care about what other people think. He has books and a podcast as well!
I have so many blogs and podcasts that I would be great for you to check out in relation to this topic including:
-The Importance Of Living Through Your Authentic Self – Acceptance, Purpose, And Growth!
–How The Worst Moments Of Our Lives Shape Us Into Who We Are
