What happens to us when we are disconnected from our parents?  Karina grew up without a father, and with a mother who was emotionally disconnected. Karina was essentially parenting herself. Karina left home as soon as she finished high school and realised it was her own responsibility to create the life she dreamed for herself.  But growing up without a connection to either parent, Karina found herself gravitating towards men that she couldn't connect with either.
