Hello Good People! I hope you are doing well or on your way to feeling much better!
Welcome to another exciting episode of the "Dear Future Hubby" podcast. I am your host and content creator, Teresa Reese. Today I will be delving into episode 59 of my fourth season. If you are new to the podcast, this is a space where I share insights, advice, and personal experiences on relationships, personal growth, and the journey to finding love. This podcast aims to prepare you for love, and not just any love but the right kind of love.
Embrace the Gift!
On this episode, I am discussing a topic that resonates deeply with many of us: “Embracing the Gift”. I understand oftentimes when we hear the word 'gift', we tend to think this means someone is talking about the unique qualities that make you who you are. For example, the traits, talents, and abilities that set you apart and make you uniquely you. These are typically the ‘gifts’ most people are referring to, the type of gifts that not only define you but also have a significant impact on how you relate to others, especially in romantic relationships.
And although many people often struggle with embracing their unique gifts because they may feel insecure about their talents, or they may feel like their gifts are not 'good enough' or 'valuable enough', this is not what this episode will be about.
Let me just say though, that this often stems from societal pressures and expectations, as well as personal insecurities. However, it is important to remember that your ‘gifts’ are what make you unique and special. They are what set you apart from the rest of the crowd. Therefore, embracing your gifts is not just about accepting who you are, but also about celebrating your individuality and uniqueness.
On this episode, however, to “Embrace the gift”, under this context means that will be speaking to the ‘gift’ of marriage and the ‘gift’ of singleness. Why? Because oftentimes, some people who are single spend a lot of time desiring to be married and some people who are married spend a lot of time desiring to be single! So, I wanted to unpack this from a biblical perspective. In fact, I will be reading 1 Corinthians, chapter 7- from the Message Bible. I hope this episode encourages Someone! Be encouraged.
