Cropsey, Urban Legend or Serial Killer?

This is one of my favorite spooky stories, I think because it's so familiar. I am a child of the 80's and all my life I heard stories like this one. It's about a strange man who lives alone in the woods outside a foreboding mental hospital. Then neighborhood kids start disappearing and one even turns up dead. This case is also infamous because of a very specific photo that was taken of the suspect and law professors use that photo as an example as to how photos can change public opinion.
