Pope Francis’s coffin carried to St Peter’s Basilica for public viewing

The body of Pope Francis is leaving his former residence for the last time, as the next phase of the funeral process gets underway. Pope Francis' coffin will be carried in a procession from Casa Santa Marta to Saint Peter's Basilica. He will lie in state for three days before his funeral on Saturday. Mourners and faithful have already started arriving ahead of public viewings beginning later on Wednesday.
