Israeli settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque compound to celebrate ‘Jerusalem Day’

Nearly 1,500 ultra-nationalist Israelis have entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, under the protection of Israeli forces. Palestinians living in occupied East Jerusalem say the action is a deliberate provocation. This comes ahead of the “Jerusalem Day” march - when right-wing Israelis celebrate Israel's occupation of the city in 1967.
